The Ultimate Test rivalry is just around the corner! The highly anticipated Border-Gavaskar Trophy, featuring five intense Test matches spread over a month and a half, is set to kick off on November 22 in Perth.

Both India and Australia will battle fiercely, aiming to secure a spot in the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) Final 2025. Adding to the excitement, this high-stakes series will feature commentary from a star-studded panel, with legends like Sunil Gavaskar and Allan Border among the esteemed voices calling the game.

For Australia, the series presents a chance to reclaim the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, last won in the 2014-15 season. Meanwhile, India will aim to achieve a historic third consecutive Test series victory on Australian soil, building on their groundbreaking triumphs in 2018-19 and 2020-21.

The absence of India’s regular skipper, Rohit Sharma, for the series opener, might seem like a hurdle, but Jasprit Bumrah is stepping up as captain, bringing a new dynamic to the team. Bumrah will lead India against the other pace captain Pat Cummins’ Australian side in Perth. Rohit is expected to return for the second Test, a pink-ball encounter under lights at the Adelaide Oval, from December 6 to 10.

Following the Day/night, encounter, The series then moves to Gabba in Brisbane for the third Test (December 14–18), followed by the iconic Boxing Day Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground from December 26 to 30. The fifth and final Test will be held at the Sydney Cricket Ground from January 2 to 7 2025, setting the stage for an electrifying conclusion to this epic contest.

The commentary teams are equally intriguing. Former Australian opener David Warner, who retired earlier this year, will join the Fox Cricket panel. Reports also suggest Indian batting star Cheteshwar Pujara might debut as a Hindi commentator for Star Sports.

While Star Sports, the official broadcaster in India, has yet to announce its commentary lineup, it is expected to include prominent names like Dinesh Karthik, Sanjay Manjrekar, and Jatin Sapru alongside experts from Fox Cricket and Channel Seven.
