In the ODIs, Pakistan, led by Mohammad Rizwan in his debut as full-time captain, showcased brilliance. After a loss in Melbourne, where Mitchell Starc’s 3/33 powered Australia to a two-wicket win, Pakistan rebounded emphatically. Haris Rauf’s 5/29 in Adelaide bowled Australia out for 163, paving the way for a nine-wicket victory. In Perth, Pakistan’s bowlers restricted Australia to 140, with Shaheen Afridi and Naseem Shah taking three wickets each. Rauf’s consistent 2/24 secured an eight-wicket win and the Player of the Series title for his 10-wicket haul.
In the rain-curtailed first T20I, Glenn Maxwell’s explosive 43 off 19 propelled Australia to 93/4 in seven overs.
