In the ODIs, Pakistan, led by Mohammad Rizwan in his debut as full-time captain, showcased brilliance. After a loss in Melbourne, where Mitchell Starc’s 3/33 powered Australia to a two-wicket win, Pakistan rebounded emphatically. Haris Rauf’s 5/29 in Adelaide bowled Australia out for 163, paving the way for a nine-wicket victory. In Perth, Pakistan’s bowlers restricted Australia to 140, with Shaheen Afridi and Naseem Shah taking three wickets each. Rauf’s consistent 2/24 secured an eight-wicket win and the Player of the Series title for his 10-wicket haul.

In the rain-curtailed first T20I, Glenn Maxwell’s explosive 43 off 19 propelled Australia to 93/4 in seven overs. Pakistan faltered under pressure, collapsing to 64/9 despite Abbas Afridi’s unbeaten 20. Nathan Ellis (3/9) and Xavier Bartlett (3/13) led Australia to a comfortable 29-run win, with Maxwell earning Player of the Match.

The second T20I in Sydney saw Australia secure a 13-run victory, defending a modest total of 147/9. Key contributions came from Matthew Short (32 off 17) and Aaron Hardie (28), while Haris Rauf (4/22) and Abbas Afridi (3/17) kept Pakistan in contention. Spencer Johnson’s stellar 5/26 dismantled Pakistan’s chase, despite Usman Khan’s resilient 52 and Irfan Khan’s unbeaten 37. Adam Zampa’s 2/19 and sharp fielding, including two run-outs, sealed Australia’s series-winning triumph. Spencer Johnson for his exceptional spell of 5/26, received the Player Of The Match accolade.

The Pakistan Cricket Board has confirmed that, with the series already decided in Australia’s favor, Pakistan will rest skipper Mohammad Rizwan for the final T20I. Agha Salman will lead the team in the dead rubber. The match is scheduled for November 18 at the Bellerive Oval in Hobart, starting at 1:30 PM IST and 6:00 PM local time.
